GZ-E100 and GZ-E300 are two new camoeras from JVE FULL HD Everio series camcorders. They all can record 1920 x 1080 AVCHD and standard definition dual format movies up to 24Mbps high bit rate(60fps). However, if you record 24Mbps videos, you won't directly get these files to almost video editing softwares, like FCP X, for editing, because 1080 60p is a nonstndard format. As far as I know FCP X 10.0.4 or above can support it sometimes.

If you have shot some 60p AVCHD videos and want to transfer them to FCP X for editing, what will you do to successfully accomplish the transformation? In fact, if you convert the 60p video to FCP's native format, you won't import them to FCP X 10.0.3 and under version. As we all know FCP is designed to edit ProRes mov format, so you'd better transcode the 60p AVCHD to ProRes, then you can copy the converted video to FCP without L&T plugins and problems.

Here the profesional AVCHD ro ProRes Converter is highly recommended. It not only can change AVCHD 1080p and 720p .mts/.m2ts to ProRes for FCP, it also can transcode AVCHD to AIC for iMovie and FCE with best setting for editing. Below is the easy-to-use guide for you.

Step 1: Install and run MTS converter for mac to install, then input the recordings to the program.
1. Right click the imported file, you will find many functions including "Rename", "Split" and so on.
2. Double click the selected file and you can have a preview of the imported file on the viewer.

Step 2: Choose the best compatible output format--Apple ProRes for FCP.
Click the Output bar, you can find that there are many output format there. For FCP X, all these five output formats are supported. Apple ProRes 422 is the first choice certainly.

Step 3: Adjust audio and video parameters in Profile Settings. You can change the default codec, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel according to your needs and optimize the output file quality.
Tip: Video Size:1920*1080 & Frame Rate:30 fps(NTSC) or 25fps(PAL)

Step 4: Click the Arrow button on the main interface to start converting JVC GZ-E100/GZ-E300 60p AVCHD to FCP's native format.

Tip: You can imput a number of files to the programs one time, and if necessary, you can use the function "Merge into one" before the conversion.

After 100% accomplishment, you just need to click the "Open" button on the main interface to find your converted file. That is to say you can edit your JVC GZ-E100/JVC GZ-E300 recordings in FCP easily and effortlessly.
